#1 Flamingos Golf Club

The Flamingos Golf Club is by far the leading club in the whole bay area, they’ve been in business for a long time and they really know how to treat their clientele. From price to customer service and from proximity to the playability of the course this is our top choice.

This club is right along the main road from Puerto Vallarta to Bucerias (Across from Hotel Las Palomas) As you approach the club you’ll see a giant white tee with a golf ball on top, which is their icon. The club offers gorgeous scenery of the jungle as well as views of the Pacific. Most of the water traps are inhabited by lovely crocodiles, so it’ll be a great idea to bring some extra golf balls.

There is a restaurant at Flamingos where you can relax and have a delicious meal before or after you play. The staff at this club is very friendly and knowledgeable and you can tell they do an awesome job by the 5-star reviews they keep getting.

#2 Higuera Golf Club

Previously known as the Litibu Golf Club, the Higuera Golf Club has gone through a full renovation of its facilities to become what is perhaps the most beautiful golf course in Banderas Bay. While the whole layout of the course suffered only minimal changes, the services and amenities were upgraded in great fashion.

The Higuera Golf Club offers stunning oceanfront views from different spots along the fairways and some of the greens. At all times motivating the player to keep moving forward.

This club is high quality by all standards and they have polished customer service ready to answer your questions. It is located on Litibu Beach and about 10 minutes from Punta Mita, which is perhaps the only inconvenience along with their pricey services. Other than that the club offers a unique golf course where you can have a grand time playing the sport you love.

Price: 18 holes $4400 pesos, 9 holes 2800 pesos, golf set rent $1350 pesos. ***Prices for T times include free drinks and snacks.

#3 Marina Vallarta Golf Club

Marina Vallarta Golf Club is your best option if you are staying in Puerto Vallarta, especially if you are near the Marina area where this course is located. This golf course is well-maintained and easy to access as it is just 5 minutes off from the main boulevard (Medina Ascencio) in Puerto Vallarta.

Playing at the Marina Vallarta Golf Club can get very interesting. The carefully manicured fairways are close to the ocean so you will have fabulous views of the ocean as you play along. At times, the view of the ocean will be blocked by the beachfront resorts next to the course, but you can still enjoy the natural surroundings dotted with palm trees and water hazards.

When you play at the Marina Vallarta Golf Club, you will have the opportunity to see the crocodiles taking a sunbath right next to the water hazards and ponds. It’s up to you if you want to keep an eye on them, but they have been the lifetime pets of the club and so far they have not attacked anyone.

The club is close to local restaurants and cafes where you can grab a bite or take a break after the game. They do have golf clubs of the best quality for rent if you happen to be traveling without your set.

Price: (approximate prices, subject to change any time) Morning $120 US, after midday $100, from 1:30 to 2:30 PM $75, and after 2:30 PM $65. Caddies charge $30 US for one single player and $40 US for two caddies assisting 2 or more players. Prices include the use of the golf cart.

#4 Vidanta Nayar Golf Club

As you head north of Puerto Vallarta into Nayarit, right when you cross the Ameca river bridge, you’ll see the first exit on your right leading to the grounds of the Vidanta resort. Take that exit and it will lead you to the exclusive Nayar Golf Club by Vidanta. This prestigious club was designed by the legendary Greg Norman and it’s second to none. The club is fully equipped with a driving range, a golf academy, and two golf courses (a full 18-hole and a 9-hole)

The fairways at the Nayar club run like a wonder and are kept in top shape year-round. From the T to the green, this is just the perfect stage for you to get your pars, your birdies, and your bogeys. The sport of golf is all about having fun and you’ll be able to have lots of it here. Everything at this club is world-class but we must let you know here that during the high season (Winter) a lot of the members/guests will be playing behind you within a 10-minute span. You will also have to wait in the queue before you can start.

Among the numerous amenities of the Nayar Golf Club, they have a restaurant called Taco Break where you can have anything from a cold drink to a full meal after golf. They also have a very attractive food truck right between the driving range and the academy where you can get a cup of coffee, creamy guacamole, and even a great cheeseburger.

Price: The prices are not available on their site, but you can call the number (below) at the Pro Shop to get the price depending on what you wish to do. ***Last time we were there most of their services were very pricey and it is mandatory to play with caddies.
